This is the song for my video game called Conquer the Sea. The game takes place on a submarine under the water throughout the world. I tried to make the song have sort of an underwater effect. I used a few loops as well as my own midi creations.

This was just our second mix on pro tools.
For our midterm we had to make a song using a drum loop, bass line, and compress one of them in any way. For my song I used an up tempo drum beat and added a techno type bass line to it. I compressed both the bass line and the drum loops. I messed around with the volumes a little bit on each as well as slightly panned both of them. Hope you like it.

This was our first project on Pro Tools. It was a blues mix that we had to mix, pan, and change the volume of our track. We had to add an EQ and other things to mix it up and make it sound improved from the original. I added a flanger and an echo to some of the tracks as well as panned them and raised/lowered the volumes.

Tommy Dowd was a musical producer, engineer, and arranger. Tom Dowd has worked with artists like Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, The Cream, Lynyrd Skynrd, and Rod Stewart. Tom Dowd is known for innovating multi-track recording. He was highly influential in creating the sound of the second half of the 20th century. Dowd is the one who made the eight-track recording system popular. He also popularized the stereo sound even though the stereo had already been invented in the 1930s. He created various methods for altering sound after the initial recording. Dowd encouraged Jerry Wexler of Atlantic Records to install an Ampex eight-track recorder, making Atlantic Records to be the first recording company to record using multiple tracks. Dowd passed October 27th, 2002. He was the greatest musical producer, engineer, and arranger to ever live.

In this I took a silent version of the Legos Breakdancing video and added music to it. I used loops from garageband and added them to each of the breakdancers. I used a variety of hip hop and RnB beats to make this video. I added a crowd to make it seem more real. Hope you like it.

MIDI is the communication from an instrument to the computer. MIDI instruments do not actually play the sound but send the data to the computer. MIDI is Musical Instrument Digital Interface. With MIDI you can play a sound through a midi keyboard, midi guitar, etc. and then change it through your computer software to sound like a completely different instrument. MIDI is one of the few things that hasn’t been changed in the music industry throughout the years. The only things that have changed with MIDI throughout the years is the computers being used. MIDI is one of the most important technologies created. It is used throughout the entire music industry in todays time.

This piece of music was made using MIDI. I played around with the MIDI keyboard to put this piece of music together. The song couldn’t be over 45 seconds.

This was our Alice in Wonderland audio recording. I recorded the script then changed my voice to sound like each of the five different characters. The five characters were the narrator, Alice, Mad Hatter, March Hare, and the Dormouse. I used an acoustic guitar to open and close the scene.

This was my second piece from Music Technology. This an AABACA format. In this song I used a mixture of sounds from Hip Hop beats to normal drums. I also used a shaker and a grand piano. To make the sounds come together better I used the compressor and Visual Equalizer.
